Temple’s Peculiarity:

This temple nestles in the MG Road at Pondicherry; it is a perfect blend of Dravidian and French architecture. Goddess Sakthi is the prime deity. It is a tranquil temple with excellent sculptures and art works.

Festivals:

Mostly Fridays a lot of locals gather here to perform special Pooja, and during Adi (august) month. Navratri is yet another famous festival in this temple.

People visit this temple to have a prosperous married life, and child boon. Devotees mostly offer lemon garland, vermillion, red saree, and turmeric to the Goddess.

This temple is an exemplar of Dravidian cum French architecture. The stainless glass paintings, intricate designs on the pillars are done in French style, the goddess shrine; sanctum sanctorum and the stupa are carved in Dravidian way.
