Kurunji Andavar temple is one of the noteworthy tourist destinations in Kodaikanal. Lord Muruga is the prime deity who graces beautifully from his sanctum.

As the name suggests, this temple is known for the Kurunji flowers that blooms once in 12 years. It’s a breath taking view to behold when these flowers bloom and drape the whole place with a purple carpet.

From this temple, one can admire the total beauty of the tea plantations, carrot and cabbage fields, Palani hills and beautiful cottages. Inside the temple is a small park for children and a little lovely garden for walking and spending some time in peace.

Though the temple complex is small, it is built very elegantly. The temple comprises of other gods too including Lord Ganapathy. This temple is located at the distance of 4 km from Kodai Lake.
