June is the month of spring. You can see flowers in the streets of South India. It is also the month school starts to re-open. It is the period of “about to end summer vacation”. Plan your vacation, take out your kids and you can enjoy the climate and preserve some precious memory to your younger generations. It is the best ever gift you can ever give to your children. June is the month of spring which is to explore the places of South India. As it is RAINY season for Kerala and Karnataka in the month of june, we have suggested places which are warm and pleasant climate in the month of June.

Yercaud:

The hidden gem of salem district’s non-commercialized hillstation is Yercaud. She is located just 230 kms away from gargantuan metro city Bangalore and 5000 ft above sea level. Drive from chaotic metro to peaceful yercaud is picturesque and fascinating one. The view of Yercaud is worth the trip. Aromatic coffee is the must try beverages in Yercaud. The tranquil weather, lake, gardens and woods helps to gain its popularity. Get drenched in Kiliyur waterfalls if you dare to take adventure trails and trek. The path to Kiliyur falls is secluded, once you reach your serotonin(Happy chemical) will start its function.

Yelagiri:

Need to get out of metro and long to have a peaceful weekend in the lap of nature. Here is the apt solution for you for your desire. Yelagiri hills have mouth smashing tea; the taste of tea would be in your tongue for a while until you eat next. It also has space for exclusive ‘adrenaline rush’ activities provided by “Yelagiri Association of Adventure Sports” like rock climbing, paragliding and trekking. After this tiring physical work, treat yourself with mughal taste aromatic briyani. As Yelagiri is much close to “Ambur” which is famous for its unique briyani taste.

Masinagudi:

Elephants paradise “Masinagudi” located near Ooty, is a wild adventure travel. On your travel from Karnataka to Masinagudi you can see and feel cool, breeze and lush green carpet everywhere. On your way you will cross Bandipur forests where you can see mesmerizing peacock dance, peafowls, spotted deers, wild elephants and langurs. I bet you would have multiple stops to admire the nature and its wonderful creatures. Once you reach Tamilnadu, you will be travelling via Mudhumalai forests. Your eyes can see herds and herds of elephants crossing and playing around the forest. Enthralling and wonderful experience it would be to travel with elephants.

Ooty:

Tall and majestic hills stand erect of tea and coffee plantation which lead to earn the nickname “Queen of hills”. Driving through the hills you can see shrubs of Neelakurinji plants all over the place. She will allow you to see the beauty of her once in twelve years. On season, the whole hill is covered by bluish pink flowers made its “Nilgris”. Tea and variki makes the best combo snack in the evening. Ooty botanical garden has numerous species of plants and shrubs within it. To add more spice to your trip, you can take toy train from Ooty to Coonoor. I failed to express my experience of the drive in words but i bet you will love it.

Kodaikanal:

Next in the list is the Princess of hills – Kodaikanal. Climate of Kodaikanal will be thoroughly chill throughout the year. You can have hot chocolate in that cold climate and bread omlette. Freshly grown carrots, home made chocolates and fruits are must try eateries in Kodai. Kodaikanal is one of the best hillstations in South India. There are many sightseeing places like Guna cave, pillar rock, bear shola falls which will be too crowded by wanderers like you. But there exists a serene peaceful non-commercialised place and that is Poombarai village just 20 kms away from Kodai lake. Poombarai village is known for its view and valley. Warm and genuine people would welcome you with smile and serve you hot chaai even if you are a stranger to them. Roam around the village and let the carrots grind in your mouth. There are no better hotels to stay, better pack a tent with you.
