Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple is the first of the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desams to be renamed as Puloga Vaikundam. With a total of 7 prakaras, the temple is spread over an area of 150 acres with 54 sub-shrines. This year the world-famous Vaikunda Ekadasi festival held here in the Tamil month of Margazhi which usually falls in the month of December – January, has been started in a great manner without a large number of devotees.
