On arrival at Cochin Airport our Tour Executive welcomes you and assists you, further drive to the lovely traditional homestay at Palakkad. Post breakfast proceed for a half day sightseeing tour with a local guide - visit the famous Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church where Vasco De Gama was first buried, Santa Cruz Basilica and the Chinese Fishing Nets in Fort Cochin at Kerala Homestay. Then explore the Jew town and the spice market at Mattancherry where you will have the opportunity to do a variety of shopping. Evening visit the Greenix cultural village Museum and watch the Cultural show (a fusions of seven art forms in Kerala including Kathakali and Kalaripayattu). Overnight stay at Cochin.
Post breakfast drive to another lovely homestay located in Kothamangalam. Enroute if interested you can visit the Kodanad Elephant Training Camp where you can enjoy elephant ride and watch bathing the elephants in river. Early morning drive to Thatekkad bird sanctuary where around 270 species of migratory and local birds can be found. Your guide will attract these birds making different sound and explain each of them clearly to you. Back to the homestay and have a late breakfast. Later drive towards Pala and check into the Homestay there. Later visit the Vanilla Farm and the rubber estate of the host to watch the tapping of rubber and processing of latex. You may also do fishing in the pond using traditional method. Overnight stay at Pala.
Post breakfast you can do the local sightseeing on this day. Visit the local artisans like traditional Kavani (cloth) weaver, bell metal worker and potter. Then visit Poonjar Palace, millennium old temples, churches, attend cooking demonstration class, do trekking, have ayurvedic massage, etc in Kerala Homestay. Overnight at Pala.
Have breakfast and drive to the lovely backwater destination called Alleppey to embark a traditional houseboat at 12:30PM. During the cruise you can stop to visit ancient temples, churches and can watch the day to day life of the local people who live close to these canals. Your crew will look after you and shall serve you with delicious Kerala food on board. Post breakfast disembark from the houseboat at 9.30am, from where you will be picked by our driver and as per your departure schedule you will be transferred to Cochin Airport to catch your flight back home.
