Temple’s Peculiarity:

This age old temple is an important icon of Pondicherry and is praised as one among the 108 Divya Desams. Lord Vishnu is the prime deity in graces in the standing pose.


Ramar festival, Vaikunta Ekadasi, Kothandaramar festival, Purattasi, and Panguni are the noteworthy festivals in this temple. But on all days this temple buzzes with people.

Special Offerings:

Devotees offer Thulasi garland, Ghee, sandal paste, clothes, sweet puddings, and Thirumanjanam to the Lord for prosperous sand problem free life. People will also donate food and clothes to the poor people around this temple.


This temple is kept opened from 6 am to 12 am then from 4 pm to 9 pm.


There is a mirror temple is this temple which amazes everyone, and there are the effigies of all 108 Vishnus inside this temple. This is the only temple in Tamil Nadu having all the 108 Vishnus. Another specialty of this temple is that, new born babies are brought here and are given the first rice before Lord Vishnu, in the belief that the baby will be took care by Lord Vishnu and will grow up into a famous person.


This temple is located at MG Road in Pondicherry.
