It takes almost a day to trek to the top of this peak.

There are temporary camping options at the Chembra Peak and the adventure enthusiasts can also stay in these temporary camps for one or two days at the top of this Peak. The panoramic bird's eye view of Wayanad which is visible from the top of the Chembra Peak is so picturesque and enchanting. The trek to the Chembra Peak is through steep and slippery paths and on the way,  you will be accompanied with flowing spring which sprouts from the top of the hill.

Camping at the Chembra Peak with a campfire in the shivering cold is a lifetime experience. For trekking enthusiasts who are bird lovers too, the trekking to Pakshipathalam is a treat for them. This place is situated 1740 meters above the mean sea level. It takes about 17 Kms trek through the wild forest to reach Pakshipathalam.

There are several deep rock caves at the northern top end of the Brahmagiri that are formed among the thick blocks of rocks which are the abode of various birds and wild beasts. But special permission has to be obtained from the forest department in order to go trekking to Pakshipathalam. With a lot of options for various trekking routes, Neelimala is a trekker's delight for those adrenaline junkies visiting Wayanad.

With a view of the Meenmutty Falls located nearby and the lush green valley in the foreground, the sight is breathtaking from the top of Neelimala. One can reach the spectacular Meenmutty Falls, which is the largest of waterfalls in the district of Wayanad, through a 2 km trekking route from the main road connecting Ooty and Wayanad.

Trekking to the largest earth dam in India, the Banasura Sagar Dam is another interesting trek in Wayanad. The set of islands which were formed when the reservoir submerged the surrounding areas is a wonderful attraction here.
