Day 1 Arrive Cochin – Munnar

On your arrival at Cochin Airport/Ernakulam Railway Station you will be welcomed by our representative. Further drive straight to Munnar hill station where you will go through the narrow hairpin roads. You will enjoy the cool climate. Enroute stop at the Valera and Cheeyappara Waterfalls (less water other than in monsoon period from June to September). Munnar is famous for its large expanse of tea plantations , mountains and waterfalls along the way everywhere. Reaching Munnar, check into the hotel and relax. From the small town of Munnar, you shall buy quality tea powders of Kannan Devan hills and home-made chocolates, if you are interested. Overnight at Munnar

Day 2 Munnar full day sightseeing

After your breakfast you will be taken for a full day sightseeing in the lovely hill station. First visit the Eravikulam National Park located at the Rajamala Peak (closed during February & March months as it is the breeding season of mountain goats there) / (if possible it is better to take the park tickets in the morning itself from the reservation counter at Munnar town to avoid the long queue at the Park’s ticket counter) and the Tea Museum (closed on Mondays) located in the town. After lunch proceed to visit the Mattupetty Dam where you have an option to do speed boating, Echo Point and back to town to visit the Blossom Park (also known as Hydel Park which is open till 6pm). Overnight at Munnar

Day 3 Munnar – Thekkady

Today after breakfast from the hotel proceed to Thekkady which is popularly known as Periyar , the wildlife destination and it is famous for its spices. Check in at the hotel and later you can proceed to do various activities. Optional activities here includes boating in Periyar lake (need advance reservation and if lucky you will see some wild animals during the ride), elephant ride /elephant activities like elephant feeding, bathing, timber dragging & commanding , spice plantation tour (where a variety of spices are introduced and you can buy fresh spices or natural oils), nature walk, etc., depending upon the time available. Overnight at Thekkady.

Day 4 Thekkady – Alleppey

After an early breakfast from the hotel , drive to Alleppey to embark the private houseboat at 12noon . Houseboat cruise with an overnight stay is the most thrilling experience which Kerala offers and undoubtedly this is the highlight of any trip to South India. Cruise around the beautiful backwaters and your crew members will serve delicious Kerala food around 1PM with a stopover . After lunch continue the cruise and during the journey you can see ancient temples, churches, paddy fields and can watch the day to day activities of the local people who live nearby. Evening you will get tea /coffee with snacks and around 5PM, the houseboat will be anchored in a safe village area where you could walk around. There is no cruise during the night time. Have dinner and Overnight at the Houseboat in Alleppey

Day 5 Alleppey to Cochin Departure

Post breakfast , the cruise will continue and you disembark from the houseboat at Alleppey boat jetty at 9AM . Drive back to Cochin. If time permits (if you have an evening departure) you can do the sightseeing of Fort Cochin covering the St. Francis Church, Chinese Fishing nets, Dutch Palace (closed on Saturdays) and the Jewish Synagogue (closed on Fridays & Saturdays). Later free for shopping and as per your departure schedule you will be transferred to Cochin Airport/Ernakulam Railway Station for your onward journey back home.
