Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : Madurai Arrival
Upon arrival in Madurai, you will be greeted by our executive and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Madurai tourist places, including a visit to the iconic Meenakshi Amman Temple, dedicated to Goddess Parvati. Though popularly known by the goddess’s name, the temple is also dedicated to her consort, Lord Shiva, worshipped as Sundareshwarar. Proceed to the magnificent Tirumalai Nayak Palace, an architectural marvel in Tamil Nadu built in the 17th-century. In the evening, visit Tiruparankundram Temple, one of the Arupadai Veedu (Six Abodes) of Lord Murugan. Overnight stay at a hotel in Madurai.
Day 2 : Madurai - Kodaikanal
After breakfast, proceed to Kodaikanal, another top-rated hill station in Tamil Nadu. Surrounded by scenic landscapes and lush valleys, the drive offers picturesque views of greenery and plantations. After arrival, check into the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Kodaikanal.
Day 3 : Kodaikanal Sightseeing
After a relaxed breakfast, embark on a Kodaikanal sightseeing tour, starting with Bryant Park, one of the most popular botanical gardens in South India. Visit Pillar Rock, a formation of three massive rock pillars, and enjoy panoramic views along Coaker’s Walk, ideal for nature photography.
Continue to Green Valley View (Suicide Point), a must-visit viewpoint in Kodaikanal. Explore Guna Caves, also known as Devil’s Kitchen, made famous by the Tamil movie Guna. Then, visit the Pine Forest, a favorite among filmmakers and photographers.
Wind up your day at the scenic Kodai Lake, a star-shaped man-made lake spanning over 60 acres. Enjoy other optional activities such as cycling in Kodaikanal, horse riding, or pedal boating (on a direct payment basis). Also, leisurely walk around the lake is equally rewarding. Day 4 : Kodaikanal - Ooty
Post breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to Ooty, also called as the Queen of the Nilgiris. After arrival, check in to the hotel and get ready for your Ooty sightseeing tour. Explore the beautiful Ooty Botanical Garden, spanning over 22 hectares and home to over 650 plant species. Visit the fossil tree believed to be over 20 million years old. Proceed to Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in South India, offering breathtaking views. Experience the wonder of the Ooty Rose Garden, one of the largest rose gardens in India. Then head to the Wax Museum before winding up your day at Ooty Lake, ideal for boating in Ooty, cycling, or horse riding. Overnight stay in Ooty.
Day 5 : Ooty - Coonoor - Ooty
After breakfast, take the iconic Nilgiri Mountain Railway Toy Train ride from Ooty to Coonoor (subject to ticket availability), a UNESCO World Heritage experience. Upon arrival, your driver will pick you up for sightseeing. Visit Sim’s Park, a well-maintained Coonoor botanical garden, and proceed to Lamb’s Rock, offering panoramic views of tea estates. Then, head to Dolphin’s Nose viewpoint, situated over 1,000 feet above sea level, famous for its unique rock formation. Return to Ooty after sightseeing. Overnight stay in Ooty.
Day 6 : Ooty - Coimbatore Departure
Post breakfast, Start your journey to Coimbatore. Based on your schedule, you will be transferred to Coimbatore Airport or Madurai Airport for your onward journey.
