Detailed Itineary
Day 1: Mumbai – Lonavala
Upon your arrival at Mumbai, one of our representatives from South Tourism will receive you and assist with your onward transfer to Lonavala, a beautiful destination which can be reached by road in slightly more than two hours. Check into the hotel and relax for a while. Later, start visiting the popular locations of Lonavala. Spend quality time at Lonavala’s Wax Museum and proceed to Bushy Dam, the popular weekend tourist spot. Except for swimming, you can enjoy the gushing of water streams from the Bushy Dam—an exquisite experience indeed. Proceed to Bhaja Caves, known for rock-cut caves with stupas and beautiful wooden structures, mainly representing the Hinayana Sect of Buddhism. Return to the hotel after your visit to Bhaja Caves.

Day 2: Lonavala - Karla - Lonavala
Post breakfast, drive to the village Karla, which is located 11 km from Lonavala. Karla is significant as it lies on the border between South and North India. The village is best known for its rock-cut caves, which are believed to have been excavated between the 2nd Century BC and the 5th Century BCE. The huge halls, with pillars on both sides and unusual sculptures, make it a marvelous site to explore. The caves were preferred by Buddhists for their monastic activities, and some were used as halting places by traders passing through. Now, the entire region is under the protection and maintenance of the Archaeological Survey of India. Explore the different caves at Karla before returning to the hotel.

Day 3: Lonavala – Mumbai – Departure
Post breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Mumbai. Based on your departure schedule, you will be assisted to board your flight.
