Day 1: Mumbai – Nasik

Upon your arrival at Mumbai, one of our representatives from South Tourism will receive and assist you for your onward journey to Nasik. The journey will take nearly four hours by road. After reaching Nasik, check into the hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure. You can either relax in the room or explore around the region by walk.

Day 2 Mumbai – Nasik Sightseeing

This day is for sightseeing tour of Nasik. Nasik is a religious center with number of temples for Lord Shiva. Post breakfast, start your drive to Triambakeshwar temple which is the most prominent temple being one of the Twelve Jyotirlinga temples dotted across India. On a drive for less than an hour, you can reach Triambakeshwar temple. The temple is located between three hills Brahmagiri, Kalagiri and Nilagiri. The presiding deity Lord Shiva is in the form of jyotirlinga, the form of partless reality, symbolizing the infinite nature of the God. The linga idol is manifested with the faces of Brahma , Vishnu and Shiva and covered with crown, believed to have been existing from the Pandavas period. The Kushavartha Kunda is inside the temple, the pond where River Godavari originated.

After visiting this temple, proceed to Panchavati temples which has historical relevance to the great Hindu epic Ramayana. This place is believed to have been visited by Lord Rama and here is a temple for Him and His consort Goddess Sita and His brother Lakshman. The entire region of Panchavati is considered to be very sacred frequented by devotees and tourists.
