BhimGarh Fort- Kashmir The prominent tourist attraction of Reasi district in Jammu is BhimGarh Fort, situated at 150 meters height above sea level. The fort was built Zorwar Singh, the renowned Dogra General who vehemently repelled the Chinese from Ladakh. Standing on the banks of River Anji, BhimGarh Fort is thronged by tourists from India and abroad.

Though partly ruined, the magnificent fort was renovated in 1990 after it was brought under the control of Archeological Survey of India. The parts of the fort beautified and an elegant facelift has made the fort more attractive and tourists are found to throng the region while touring across Jammu.

By Air : Jammu airport is the nearest one to Bhimgarh Fort. From there, traveling by taxi will require less than two hours to reach the destination. As Jammu airport connects with major cities of North India operating different airlines, accessing Bhimgarh fort will be very easy.

By Train :From Katra Railhead at a distance of 25 km from Bhimgarh Fort, a private taxi can be hired to reach the destination

By Road : Bhimgarh Fort can be reached very easily travelling on well laid and maintained roads from any part of the region.
