The dense forest of Kawal tiger reserve sprawls across an area of 778.17 sq m. This tiger reserve is well known for verdant teak forests. The river Kadam flows through this sanctuary, making the land surrounded by very fertile and green.

Kawal wild life sanctuary is a safe have for millons of flora and fauna. The forest area is covered with trees like dry deciduous teak woods, bamboos, Terminalia, pterocarpus, anogeisus, cassias and lots more trees.

Cheetal, Sambar, Nilgai, Sloth Bear, Barking Deer, Indian Bison, Panther and Tiger are some of the animal species that are spotted here. If we are lucky we can see any of these animals at our hands distance. Reptiles such as Crocodile, Monitor Lizard, Python, Star Tortoise and Cobra, are also found at a large number in Kawal wildlife sanctuary.

 By Air - The nearest airport to Adilabad is at Hyderabad (322 km). From there one needs to hire a cab or take a bus to reach Adilabad.
