Payyoli Beach is yet another popular beach destination in Kerala which is located at about 40 Km away at the west coast of Kozhikode district. Payyoli is a picturesque city of Kerala which boasts of a perfect mix of the Indian, Dutch, and British culture.

This beautiful city is well-known as the hometown as well as the training ground of India’s former sprint queen, P. T. Usha who is nicknamed the ‘Payyoli Express’. Payyoli Beach is surrounded with an astounding environment that possess endless streak of palm-fringed shores carpeted with golden sand and pleasant atmosphere.

The shallow water of this beach is ideal for swimming and water sports activities. The endangered Olive Ridley turtles visit this place during the month of November to December to hatch eggs. So, if you visit the Payyoli Beach during these months, you can spot the endangered species of turtle.

Here, you can also find a nature conservation centre called 'Theeram' which was started by local fishermen to save these endangered turtles. The Thikkodi lighthouse which is made of shipwreck is a prime source of attraction at the Payyoli Beach.

 By Rail - Kozhikode Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Payyoli Beach which is at a distance of about 39 Km. From there, you can either hire a taxi or board a bus to reach Bekal Beach.

 By Road - Kozhikode is well-connected via road to major cities of the country like Kochi, Mangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Bangalore, and Coimbatore. Many State transport buses and private buses are available to Payyoli Beach. You can also hire a taxi to reach the Payyoli Beach.
