Ponmudi is a beautiful picturesque hill station in Trivandrum district. Ponmudi is a Malayalam word meaning "Golden Crown". The saint Parshuram who is an Indian mythological figure, founded this beautiful place Ponmudi. This hill station is a portion of the Western Ghats which lies parallel to the Arabian sea

This region is situated about 945 m above sea level. Ponmudi is 55.2 Km away from Trivandrum city. The climate here is cool, breezy and misty. The temperature of this region is 22-degree Celsius with a humidity of 84%. Ponmudi admires everyone by its natural beauty.
