Every year this sanctuary welcomes over 60 species of migratory birds from all across the planet. Seagulls, Brahminy kites, red and greenshanks, terns, sandpipers, sand plovers, and turnstones are the prominent bird species that visit Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary every year. Besides birds, this sanctuary is also home to fishes, crabs, turtles and mussels.
