An exuberant architecture with full of grandeur and excellence is Mubarak Mandi Palace, speaking aloud about the most valorous Dogra Dynasty and their milestones in history. The entire palace was constructed for over a period of 150 years with massive structures, domes, columns and huge halls. Mubarak Mandi Palace is the royal seat of Dogra Dynasty from where the rulers reigned the sprawling kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir.

The spectacular mix of architectural styles and construction types over a period of many centuries can be well explored as the palace was built over several periods of time under the rule of different Dogra Kings. Altogether , Mubarak Mandi Palace consists of 25 buildings sprawling across 12 acres. It is indeed perfect to say that the buildings reflect Rajasthani, Mughal and European styles, though parts of the palace are found ruined.

The once popular and busy Mubarak Mandi Palace has been in a state of decline since many decades and so many parts of the palace are in ruined condition.

• You will be surprised to witness the gold painted bow and arrow used by Shajahan, the popular Mughal Emperor who built Taj Mahal.
• The Persian Pre-Islamic epics and voluminous wolrd literatures Shahnama and Sikendarnama are found here in their original manuscript versions.
