Divya Desam Temples are a group of highly revered Maha Vishnu Temples that are mentioned in the Divya Prabandha, a collection of 4,000 Tamil verses by the Azhwars or 12 great Vaishnavite saints of South India. There were 13 Divya Desams based in Malai Nadu in ancient Kerala. However, two of them are now located in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari district.

Day 1 : Cochin Arrival

Upon your arrival at Cochin Airport/Railway station, you will be received by our representative who will assist you with a smooth check-in at the hotel. If time permits, you'll visit Marine Drive, Kochi's popular hangout.

Day 2 : Cochin -Edapally - Iringalakkuda – Guruvayur (130 Kms / 3 hrs)

Early morning, check out with a packed breakfast and drive to Edapally to visit Thrikkakara Vamanamoorthy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vamana, the fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The history of the temple is linked with legends about Mahabali and Lord Vishnu's Vamana avatar. This is the temple where Kerala's Onam Festival is believed to have originated.

Then, we'll visit Nalambalam Temples - the four temples that are a part of the sacred Nalambalam Thozhal pilgrimage (Nalambalam Yathra), dedicated to Lord Sri Rama and his brothers Lakshmana, Bharatha, and Shathrughna of the epic Ramayana.

Seek divine blessings at Thirumoozhikulam Lakshmana Temple in Ernakulam district where the presiding deity is Lakshmana Perumal who is worshipped as an embodiment of Lord Vishnu. Next, visit Shathrughna Perumal Temple located near Iringalakkuda, Thrissur district. Here, Lord Vishnu is worshipped as Shathrughna Perumal.

After a delicious lunch, we'll be visiting Koodalmanikyam Bharatha Temple in Iringalakkuda. Dedicated to Bharatha Perumal, the temple is noted for its typical Kerala-style architecture. Then, visit Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple where the presiding deity is Lord Rama. It is believed that the idol of Lord Rama installed here was initially worshipped by Lord Krishna.

Later, drive to Guruvayur and check in at the hotel. Evening, visit Sree Krishna Temple or Guruvayur Temple, one of the most visited temples in Kerala and an important pilgrimage for Hindus. Lord Vishnu in his incarnation as Lord Krishna (in child form) is the main deity here, who is fondly known as Guruvayoorappan.

Thrikkakara-Vamanamoorthy-Temple
Day 3 : Guruvayur - Thirumittacode - Thirunavaya - Guruvayur (140 Kms)

Early morning with a packed breakfast, drive to Thirumittacode Uyyavandha Perumal Temple. Located in the Palakkad district, it is one of the oldest temples in Kerala whose legend is closely related to Pancha Pandavas of epic Mahabharata. Also known as Anju Moorthy Temple, it houses five idols of Lord Vishnu that were installed by the 5 Pandava brothers.

Then, visit Thirunavaya Navamukunda Temple in Malappuram. Lord Vishnu is worshipped here as Navamukunda Perumal. The temple is famed for the historic Mamankam Festival, a grand celebration that is held once every twelve years.

Later drive back to Guruvayur. If time permits, we'll visit Mammiyur Mahadeva Temple, a famous Shiva Temple in Guruvayur.

Overnight stay in Guruvayur.

Uyyavandha-Perumal
Day 4 : Guruvayur - Changanassery - Alappuzha (230 KM)

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, drive to Alleppey. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax for a while. Later, drive to Thrikodithanam Maha Vishnu Temple. Located in Thrikodithanam near Changanacherry, it is one of the five ancient 'Pancha-Pandava' temples in Kerala, particularly associated with Sahadeva, the youngest of the Pandava brothers. The presiding deity here is Athpudha Narayanan, a form of Lord Vishnu. After darshan, we will visit Thiruvalla Sree Vallabha Temple. It is one of the rare temples in Kerala where Kathakali is performed as a ritual offering every evening. Sri Kolapira Perumal is the main deity of Sree Vallabha Temple in Thiruvalla. If time permits, we can visit Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Swamy Temple on our way back to Alleppey. Overnight stay in Alleppey.

Thrikodithanam-Maha-Vishnu-Temple
Day 5 : ALLEPPEY – ARNAMULA – PULIYUR – TRIVANDRUM (200 KM)

After a yummy breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thiruvanvandoor Mahavishnu Temple, located in Chengannur. A beautiful temple in traditional Kerala-style architecture is believed to have been constructed by Nakula one of the brother in Pandavas. The main deity is Paambanaiyappa Perumal, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. From there, head to Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna. Resting on the banks of the holy River Pampa, the temple is famed for Aranmula Snake Boat Race and Aranmula Vallasadya, the largest vegetarian feast in the world. Then, visit Sri Imayavarappa Perumal Temple in Chengannur and Maha Vishnu Temple in Puliyur. Seek the blessings of the Lord and admire the beautiful Kerala architecture of the temples. Evening, drive to Trivandrum and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Trivandrum.

Thiruvanvandoor-Mahavishnu-Temple
Day 6 : Trivandram - Thiruppathisaram – Thiruvattaru – Trivandrum (120 Kms / 2 hrs)

Early morning with a packed breakfast, drive to Thiruppathisaram in the Kanyakumari district of Tamilnadu. There, we'll visit Thiruvazhmarban Temple where Lord Thiruvazh Marban (Thirukurulappa Perumal) graces his devotees with His four hands, one assuring safety (Abhayahastha) and others holding a conch and discus. After lunch at standalone restaurants, drive back to Trivandrum, en route visit Adikesava Perumal Temple in Thiruvattar. It is said that the world-famous Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala was built resembling the Adi Kesava Perumal Temple in Thiruvattar. The idols of Lord Vishnu at both temples are in the Bhujanga Saya position and are placed in such a way that it faces each other. Also, visit Sree Krishna Swamy Temple in Neyyatinkara, often regarded as the Guruvayur of Trivandrum district. Overnight stay in Trivandrum.

Day 7 : Trivandrum Depature

Start your day with the divine and blissful darshan of Sri Anantha Padmanabhaswamy at the historic Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum. Commended as the richest temple in the world where the 18 ft. long idol of Lord Maha Vishnu in the Anantha Shayanam posture can be viewed through three different doors.

Later, return to the hotel. After a scrumptious breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thiruvallam Sree Parasurama Swami Temple in Trivandrum. It is the only temple in India dedicated to Lord Parasurama.

Later, you will be transferred to Trivandrum Airport/ Railway Station to take your flight/train back home.
