Pillar rocks is situated in the Kodaikanal hills and is one of the famous tourist spots. This lovely place has a great ambiance and incredible view. As the name suggests this place has three vertical boulders reaching up to a height of 400 feet. This place is perfect for photo shoot, as these boulders serves as a great backdrop for the pictures.

Adding to the serene ambiance, this place has a touching love story of a young couple David Gell. The “white cross” which stood as a testimony to their love story is now hoary and is not clearly visible from the pillar rock. These rocks stand majestically with an air of pride. The mirage of mist covering the hill sometimes gives the feel of sailing among the clouds. The chambers between these two massive rocks are called the Devil's Kitchen and the pillars provide a spectacular bird's view of the surroundings. This picnic spot is a perfect place to relax, relish the fresh aroma of nature.

Another prominent feature of this pillar rock is the mini garden. For those who love serene ambiance and tranquillity, this garden is where they need to be. This lovely garden enhances our spirit as we stroll among the well-groomed lawns. Mini garden is an apt place for family picnic, pack few sandwiches along with juices, heed to this beautiful park and relish your time together with your family. There are many shops available around the pillar rocks, the hot chilli bajji sold here is very famous and palatial.
