The famous Kanipakam Vinayaka temple is present in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. This temple is well-known for its purity and the holiness. The temple was built by the Pandya king during the 11th century. 'Kani' means wetland and 'Pakam' means the flow of water in the wetland. The sacred Bahuda River flows beside the temple which is rich in heritage.

The incredible thing is, the Swayambu Vinayaka is present inside the well. The idol of the Vinayaka continues to grow. At present, you can see the abdomen and knees of the idol. The water from the sacred well is given as theertham to the devotees. The phenomenal of the temple is the special oath which resolved many problems. Due to guilt, people accept their mistakes after bathing in the Bahuda river.
