Govindarajaswamy Temple in Tirupati
One of the most esteemed temples in Tirupati is well worth a visit. During historical invasions, the statue of Lord Govindarajaswamy was relocated from Chidambaram to Tirupati. Following the period of unrest, it was returned to Chidambaram. According to local Lord Vishnu later appeared in Ramanujar's dreams, instructing him to permanently place his image in Tirupati.
