Detailed Itineary
Day 1: Cochin – Munnar
On Arrival you will be received from Cochin Airport / Ernakulum railway station and drive to Munnar (04 Hrs) enroute visit Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls and natural scenic spots. On arrival, check in at hotel and relax for the rest of the day and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Munnar
After breakfast, start the day with local sightseeing of Munnar situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Kundale, Nallathanni & Mudrapuzha. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Visit Tata Tea Museum (Closed on Monday), Mattupetty Dam, Echo point, Photo Point, and in the afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park), where the rare Nilgiri Thars mountain goats can be spotted. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar – Thekkady
After breakfast, check out from Munnar and drive to Thekkady (04 Hrs). On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later, proceed for sightseeing at Thekkady, including the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Activities like boating at Periyar lake, Kathakali, Kalari (Martial Art show), and a visit to a Spice Plantation can be done on a direct payment basis. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Thekkady – Alleppey
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey (04 Hrs). It's best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters. Check in at the hotel and relax. Later, visit Ambalapuzha Sree Krishnaswamy Temple, the lighthouse, Coir Museum, and the beach. Stay overnight at the hotel.
* Note: (In case you prefer a Houseboat Stay, check-in to the houseboat and enjoy the rest of the day cruising in the serene backwaters. Traditional Kerala meals and snacks will be served. In the evening, you can explore nearby local markets and experience village life.)
Day 5: Alleppey – Cochin
After breakfast on the final day, check out from the hotel or houseboat and drive back to Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station with fond memories of the trip.
