Exploring Art and Heritage at Bangalore's National Gallery of Modern Art

National Gallery of Modern Art, located at Manikyavelu, 49 Palace Road, Bangalore, spans 3.5 acres. Originally a residency, this historic heritage mansion has been transformed into a museum featuring 1551 square meters of exhibition space. Augmented a new gallery block, the facility also includes a refurbished auditorium, a reference library, a cafeteria, and a museum shop with additional facilities. The gallery houses an extensive collection of paintings, sculptures, prints, and drawings that date back to the late 18th century. It features works by renowned Indian artists such as Raja Ravi Varma, Amrita Shergill, Rabindranath Tagore, Nandalal Bose, and Jamini Roy, alongside pieces by various international artists.
